RTR Terra Contracting Ltd is a full-service excavation contractor that provides multiple services of various sizes in and around Vancouver and the Lower Mainland. Terra was formed over 15 years ago by a group of exceptional and knowledgeable construction and operation managers that have over 30 years of experience.
We are currently looking to build upon our experienced, growth-orientated, and dedicated list of employees through our Pipelayer opportunity.

The Opportunity:
Pipelayer responsibilities include:
- Knowledge to interpret drawings, blueprints, and MMCD for pipelaying tasks
- Dig trenches and use basic power tools such as gas saws
- Ability to install Pipes to grade, operate a backhoe when required
- Communication with Superintendent, Project Manager, and crew
- Ability to calculate measurements for pipe, cut pipe and track materials
- Following all safety protocols, job procedures, and work practices
We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:
- Solid understanding of standard industry safe work procedures
- Able to perform in a production-driven environment while remaining professional, reliable and consistent.
- Attention to detail and commitment to completing high-quality work
- Minimum 3 years of construction experience with 2 years as Pipelayer
Assets that are considered:
- First Aid Certificate
- Ground Disturbance Certificate
- Fall Protection Certification
- Confined Space Certification
- Rigging Certification
- Can set up and use a laser
- Understands MMCD and supplementary specification
