We are looking for a safety focused Manufacturing Engineer to join our team and be responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining, and improving product designs and manufacturing processes.
The successful candidate will be a self-starter, a hands-on high energy team player with a minimum of three years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment. This individual will review, design, implement and own initiatives and procedures linked to our manufacturing needs that will promote a safety-first approach, eliminate waste, improve workflow, enhance equipment life expectancy, and increase product output.
Preference will be given to individuals who have had experience working in manufacturing and are able to demonstrate the following – develop manufacturing work instructions, troubleshooting manufacturing process gaps, lead manufacturing change management initiatives and complete capacity assessments.
QUALIFICATIONS
Skills, Education and Experience
- Demonstrated commitment to health and safety standards and environmental regulations
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing engineering or equivalent such as applicable trade with appropriate experience.
- Minimum of three years of experience in a machining or manufacturing environment as a manufacturing engineer or similar role.
- Able to interpret and review engineering drawings to ensure products are built to specifications.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem analysis skills – ability to identify & effectively resolve problems.
- Experience with risk analysis
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, fabrication, machining, and product assembly.
- Familiarity with quality assurance processes.
- Experience with PDM/PLM/ERP software an asset
- Supply chain experience whether it be through developing, using or working to create improvements/guidelines.
- Ability to apply practical manufacturing principles with a focus on lean manufacturing and process optimization.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Evaluate existing designs, processes, systems and workflows for safety, quality, efficiency, technology, layout, and potential risks.
- Propose, implement, and lead new and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop and test optimized systems and processes.
- Develop & maintain manufacturing job packages & work instructions.
- Complete production process flow assessments & time studies.
- Design and oversee the procurement and installation of new equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues and delays.
- Lead and project manage a variety of the identified initiatives.
- Other duties and support activities as required.

Pay: $75,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
