Your Opportunity:
Training & Learning for Connect Care (CC) is a critical component of the implementation and adoption of the clinical information system. The adoption of CC rests on our clinicians and leaders being supported with an education program and strong classroom educators. The CC Credentialed Trainer (CT) for Health professions provides end user training to staff expected to utilize the Epic applications. This individual must be proficient and a subject matter expert in their current role. As the Social Worker II - Connect Care Credentialed Trainer you will be responsible for the classroom training for super users, leaders and other users of a specific CC program. Your core duties include preparation of the classroom, facilitation of the curriculum and evaluation of the training process. This requires presenting role-based training content using a variety of software programs, tools and applications. You will employ your knowledge of basic concepts of adult education and organizational change management to facilitate the adoption of CC. You will use your experience training and educating adults to relay information in a manner reflective of your audience’s abilities. To ensure competency of the trainees you will administer proficiency assessments at the time of training as well as post-live refresher, optimization and skills enhancement training. As a CT you will undergo a credentialing process to qualify as a trainer for specific roles within CC. This position(s) covers Red Deer. There may be expected travel required for this position.

As a Social Worker II, you will be a member of an inter-disciplinary team and provides a range of social work services to patients and their families. Your services may include: psychosocial assessment, resource-based interventions, individual, group and family treatment, risk screening, counselling, case management and coordination, transition or discharge planning, and prevention, promotion and public awareness activities.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of bachelor's degree in Social Work. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW).

Additional Required Qualifications:
3-5 years recent clinical experience in AHS. Strong verbal communication, public speaking, and listening skills. Prior experience facilitating, instructing, precepting and or teaching. Knowledge of organizational/clinical workflows and practice. Strong interpersonal skills required. Ability to learn new material quickly and adapt to change. Must have the ability to build rapport easily. Comfort with technology and the ability to quickly master new software programs. Strong team player. Proven leadership skills required. Ability to critically think and solve problems quickly and efficiently. Approachable, team player, mentoring ability. Ability to prioritize. Ability to be patient and calm when faced with multiple distractions and problems that may arise. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Ability to promote the change process in a positive manner. Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office tools including word, SharePoint, Visio, etc. Ability to sit and stand for prolonged periods with extended computer. Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds. Experience and comfort in problem solving and conflict resolution.

Preferred Qualifications:
Completion of Prosci change management training preferred. Demonstrated ability to think systematically and critically to improve quality, realize improved outcomes and engage others in same. Demonstrated ability and comfort with decision making responsibilities, coaching and teaching, and the ability to inspire and build confidence in others. Demonstrated experience in planning, communication, facilitation, and coordination of multiple projects/operational work packages.
