Davis Wire Industries Ltd. is a Western Canadian manufacturer of steel wire products serving construction, industrial, and infrastructure markets. Our operations include wire drawing, welded wire mesh, galvanizing, and custom manufacturing processes.
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Production Planner & Inventory Coordinator to support production scheduling, inventory management, and operational coordination at our Annacis Island facility.
This role is a key operational position supporting production scheduling, inventory coordination, material flow, and daily manufacturing operations across a team of approximately 15 production employees.
Key Responsibilities
Production Scheduling & Planning
- Coordinate and maintain daily production schedules and manufacturing priorities
- Assign production requirements based on machine capacity, material availability, and operational priorities
- Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as required
- Support production flow and operational efficiency across departments
Inventory & Material Coordination
- Track raw material and finished goods inventory
- Maintain inventory accuracy and material traceability
- Coordinate material movement and inventory reporting
- Monitor inventory shortages and production risks
- Operational Coordination
- Work closely with production, QC, shipping, and purchasing teams
Reporting Continues Improvement
- Maintain production, inventory, and operational records
- Utilize Excel and internal systems for scheduling and reporting
- Support process improvements related to planning, scheduling, and inventory management
Qualifications
- Diploma in Operations Management or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Experience in manufacturing, production planning, scheduling, inventory coordination, logistics, or operations support.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Proficiency in Excel and computer systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and follow-up skills
- Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing environments
- Coordinate shipping schedules and delivery priorities
- Communicate production status, scheduling changes, and operational concerns
- Support customer delivery commitments through effective planning and coordination
- Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing environment
Full-Time | Monday to Friday- 06:30 am-3:00 pm
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $27.00-$35.00 per hour
