Senior Tire & Lube Technician – Take 5 Oil Change Ajax

Take 5 Oil Change Ajax is looking for an experienced Senior Tire & Lube Technician to join our team.
This position is intended for an experienced technician who is confident performing tire services independently and understands proper automotive service procedures.
Responsibilities
- Install and remove tires from customer vehicles
- Mount and dismount tires using professional tire-changing equipment, including machines such as the Snap-on T7800
- Balance tires using wheel-balancing equipment
- Perform tire rotations and seasonal tire changeovers
- Properly torque wheels using manufacturer torque specifications
- Safely lift and position vehicles for tire service
- Inspect tires for wear, damage, and safety concerns
- Perform oil changes and preventative maintenance services
- Check and top up vehicle fluids
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Assist and support junior technicians when required
- Follow all Take 5 safety and service procedures
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of tire and lube technician experience
- Strong experience mounting and dismounting tires
- Must be comfortable operating professional tire machines such as the T7800 or similar equipment
- Must understand proper wheel torque specifications and torque procedures
- Experience installing and removing wheels and tires on a variety of passenger vehicles, SUVs, and light trucks
- Experience with low-profile tires and larger wheels is an asset
- Strong understanding of shop and vehicle safety procedures
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Must be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Must be available to work evenings and weekends
- Valid Ontario driver's licence preferred
