Air Canada is seeking an experienced and dynamic technical analyst focused on providing support to IT solutioning. This role requires collaboration with a diverse internal workforce and extended third party service providers to create the future business application support model for our world class Aeroplan program.
These are exciting times for IT at Air Canada, with several major projects and partnerships underway that will grow our Aeroplan reach. This is a unique opportunity to work with state-of-the-art technologies and to contribute to the evolution of the Air Canada's Loyalty program, in order to create an integrated view of all customer interactions driving processes, continuously delivering benefits to our members and increasing customer satisfaction and revenues.
This position will be reporting to the Manager, Application Development and Maintenance.
Responsibilities:

Develop and execute API tests using Postman and SOAP UI.

Validate Loyalty API responses using various methods such as JSON, XML.

Collaborate with the development team to ensure APIs function as expected.

Provide functional support to the development team, business owners, internal IT teams and partners that consume iFly services.

Provide production and non-production incidents support to triage, qualify and prioritize issues as per the Service level agreement with the vendors.
- Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to support implementation, testing, deployment, and monitoring of software enhancements/fix to ensure stability.

Play an active role in projects-related activities, such as sprint planning, daily scrum meeting, sprint review.

Develop user stories based on the identified Business problems.
- Coordinating with other team members in the organization to create or improve the product and processes.
- Create and maintain Functional Specs, Data Flow and Process Documents.
- Performing analysis to assess quality, validation and meaning of data.
- Communicating analysis results and making recommendations to relevant stakeholders.
- Support multiple working methodologies such as Hybrid Waterfall/Agile, Agile, Kanban.

Provide support for the business analysis and technology/business integration efforts.

Provide guidance to the test team in the development of test scripts and analysis of results.

Conduct requirement and systems analysis and translate business requirements.

Maintains data standard and security measures through the implementation of information technology plans, policies, and standards.
Qualifications
- A relevant University degree/technical certification, and/or relevant experience commensurate to the role.
- At least 3 years of IT technology or operations experience in a large company preferably in the Loyalty domain would be an asset.
- Experience of working with Loyalty features; Accruals, Redemptions, Benefits would be an asset.

Understanding of ITIL, SDLC, Agile methodologies, Jira, Confluence, UML.
- At least basic working knowledge of REST/SOAP API, database, software programming.
- Knowledge of Postman and SoapUI tools.

- Flexible, creative, and responsive to needs of users.
- Basic working knowledge of FTP protocol, ServiceNow, Jira automation, Gherkin, data visualization software like Power BI or Webfocus (asset) would be an advantage.
- Experience in vendor management, Certified Associate of Project Management (CAPM) will be a bonus.
