Join our team for a unique opportunity to work outdoors in the stunning setting of West Lake Provincial Park. We are seeking enthusiastic applicants who are passionate about nature, enjoy working independently and are able to work well within a small team.
As a member of our team, you will be responsible for park operations including janitorial duties, maintenance, public relations and safety, and other related duties as required. No prior experience is needed, as we will provide all the necessary training to successful applicants.
POSITION DETAILS:
- Location: West Lake Provincial Park
- Duration: July 1 – September 9, 2026
- Position Status: Temporary full-time (40 hours a week)
- Shifts and shift times are set for the summer at hiring, 5 days on 2 days off. Morning Shifts are 7:45 am - 4:15 and Evening Shifts are 1 pm- 9:30 pm.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Janitorial: Cleaning of toilets and day-use areas.
- Maintenance: Mowing, painting, raking, and tree trimming.
- Public Relations and Safety: Ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for park visitors.
- All other duties as required.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Enjoyment of the outdoors and a passion for nature.
- Comfortable working independently in a physically active environment.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Ability to lift, move, and carry up to 20 kg.
REQUIREMENTS:
- A Criminal Record check is required for this position.
- A valid Driver’s License.
- Access to a personal vehicle for transportation to and from office (located near Vanway), with a work vehicle provided at the location.
