You can provide candid counsel on a wide range of issues, including assurance, tax, complex accounting, restructuring, acquisitions, and more. About the Position
This is a hybrid work arrangement (minimum 3 days in the office). As a Junior Accountant you will be working on assignments under the direct supervision of a Senior, Manager, Director and/or Partner for a variety of engagements. You will get the added benefit of further developing your skill set through working with a wide variety of clients and a robust list of industries. In accordance with Zeifmans’ entrepreneurial spirit, you are a self-starter with a strong commitment to quality.
Summary of Responsibilities

Completion of audit, review or compilation files and related tax preparation.

Builds effective working relationships in assignments with operational client contacts.

Responds effectively to client requests.

Provides suggestions related to an assignment or project.

In house assignments such as accounting research or office administration
Summary of Experience
-
Minimum of 1 Co-Op term experience related to accounting and assurance
-
1 year of customer service experience
Requirements:
-
Completion of a University Accounting degree
-
Working towards obtaining their Canadian CPA designation.

Basic understanding of IFRS, ASPE, CAS and Canadian Tax
-
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate with external clients.

Possess strong project management skills and organization, with the ability to manage multiple engagements simultaneously

Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

Experience working with accounting and tax software such as Quickbooks, Caseware, Jazz-it, Tax Prep and Simply Accounting
