About Artisan Smoke Shop
Artisan Smoke Shop is a growing smoke shop business serving customers through both physical store locations and an online store. Our website currently features product categories such as disposable vapes, e-juices, pods, vaporizers, hookah products, accessories, cigars, tobacco, and bongs, along with online ordering, delivery, pickup, and store information. We are looking for a motivated and reliable Website Developer to help improve, maintain, and update our website so customers can easily browse products, place orders, and learn more about our stores.
Job Responsibilities
The Website Developer will be responsible for:
- Updating and maintaining the Artisan Smoke Shop website
- Improving website layout, speed, mobile responsiveness, and user experience
- Adding, editing, and organizing product pages, categories, images, prices, and descriptions
- Helping manage online store functions such as cart, checkout, product listings, and promotions
- Ensuring the website looks professional, modern, and easy to use
- Fixing website errors, broken links, formatting issues, and technical bugs
- Supporting basic SEO improvements, including product titles, page descriptions, and keywords
- Creating or updating banners, homepage sections, sale promotions, and store information
- Making sure the website content stays appropriate for a regulated smoke shop business
- Coordinating with management for website changes, product updates, and business needs
Requirements
Applicants should have:
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of website development
- Experience with WordPress, Shopify, WooCommerce, or similar website platforms
- Understanding of HTML, CSS, and basic website design
- Ability to update product pages, images, banners, and website content
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to complete tasks on time
- Good communication skills
- Willingness to learn and work with a growing small business
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
Preferred Skills
The following skills are an asset but not mandatory:
- Experience with e-commerce websites
- Basic graphic design skills using Canva, Photoshop, or similar tools
- SEO knowledge
- Product photography or image editing experience
- Experience with Google Business Profile, Google Analytics, or social media integrations
- Knowledge of website security, backups, and payment setup
