Job Description:
Builder Liaison Duties:
· Calculate measurements for new projects & complete tenders in conjunction with supervisor & / or Estimating Dept
· Retrieve, calculate information & process color charts in conjunction with site schedules/scheduler requests
· Review and prepare installation work orders once colour charts are received
· Pricing of completed builder installs & passing pricing on to be invoiced by Accounting Dept
· Coordinate with builder décor offices regarding samples/special requests
· Coordinate with builders on any reselections required due to product changes/availability
· Coordinate with manufacturers on forecasting/material needs of builders
· Assist internal departments with any builder related work/installs
· Maintain “install binder” to ensure correct current install specs
· Attend site if needed to oversee builder / installer disputes
· Assist in purchasing materials
· Assisting in the training process of new staff
Safety Officer Duties:
· Host monthly in-office safety meetings / “toolbox talks” with installers, forward copies of safety minutes to builders
· Host safety portion of internal office meetings
· Attend on-site builder site safety meetings if required
· Monthly warehouse/office walkaround inspection
· Monthly AED readiness check, quarterly first aid kit check + restock
· Provide & file safety documents (H&S manual, SDS sheets) to builders as requested
· Adress safety concerns/incidents from builders/internal staff as needed
· Yearly review of H&S manual/safety policies
· New employee safety walkaround, oversee completion of WHMIS / Safety in 4 Easy Steps certifications
· Assist with on-boarding potential new Installers and Performance evaluations when required
· Assisting in the training process of new staff
Office Maintenance Officer Duties
· Oversee Office:
o Oversee and ensure efficiency of all systems, processes and personnel for maximum profitability of the company (including efficient ordering procedures), assuring all daily operations and procedures are running efficiently
o Monitor building security, such as the assignment of keys and alarm codes for approved personnel
o Monitor janitorial, cleaning, repair and maintenance services (including work vehicles).
o Arrange and/ attend executive and team meetings, assist in coordinating department programs (such as meetings, seminars, workshops, special projects and events)
· Oversee Warehouse:
o Monitoring inventory – Monitor purchasing of materials and stock turn over (including Scheduler ordering as close to install date as possible)
o Oversee Warehouse to ensure organization and cleanliness on a Monthly basis & monitor that dead-stock / clearance list is up-to-date
o Assist in scheduling incoming / outgoing deliveries & monitor delivery driver status & if required, assist Scheduler in delivery driver efficiency / logistics, & monitor GPS / app notifications
o Monitor and order tools if necessary both in-house and for outside staff
· Train as Scheduler / Service Manager & Service Manager back-up
· Provide support to all department teams when required
· Monitor & advise on team cohesion & performance
· Assist supervisor with any other tasks required
· Opening and closing of the office when required
· Assisting in the training process of new staff
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
