Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Counter Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, preparing and serving food items, handling transactions accurately, and maintaining a clean and sanitized work environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service, strong time management skills, and a passion for delivering a positive dining experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers promptly and courteously, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere
- Prepare and serve food items according to established standards and recipes
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling
- Manage cash register transactions accurately, including processing payments and giving change
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas in compliance with food safety regulations
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts
- Assist with food handling procedures to ensure proper hygiene and safety standards are met
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
- Follow all sanitation, safety, and health guidelines related to food industry standards
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred
- Knowledge of POS systems, especially Micros POS, is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude
- Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math calculations
- Good time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks during busy periods
- Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
- Kitchen or food industry experience is advantageous but not mandatory
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
Pay: $18.25-$20.00 per hour
