Job Summary
As a Daycare Worker, you will play a vital role in creating a warm, structured, and fun environment for children. You will oversee daily activities, ensure child safety, implement engaging learning curriculums, and foster open communication with parents. Key Responsibilities
- Child Supervision & Safety: Maintain constant supervision of children during indoor and outdoor activities to ensure a safe, clean, and healthy environment.
- Curriculum Implementation: Organize and lead age-appropriate activities, including storytelling, arts and crafts, music, and educational games that stimulate emotional, social, and intellectual growth.
- Daily Care Routine: Assist children with basic needs, including serving nutritious meals/snacks, diapering/potty training, and supervising naptime.
- Behavioural Guidance: Use positive reinforcement and gentle guidance techniques to help children manage their emotions and develop social skills.
- Parent Communication: Build strong relationships with families by providing daily updates on their child’s progress, behaviour, and milestones.
- Facility Maintenance: Keep classrooms, toys, and equipment sanitized and organized in accordance with local health and safety regulations.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: Previous experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, camp, or babysitting setting is highly preferred.
- Education: A degree or certification in Early Childhood Education (ECE), Child Development, or a related field is highly desirable.
- Certifications: Valid CPR and First Aid certifications (or willingness to obtain them upon hire).
- Background Check: Must be able to pass a criminal background check and vulnerable sector check.
