Mississauga Community Legal Services is a community legal clinic funded by Legal Aid Ontario. We provide legal advice and representation to low-income residents of the City of Mississauga in various areas of law. We focus our work in the areas of housing and homelessness, immigration law, workers’ rights, income security, violence and health, in conjunction with community development and organizing work to address systemic issues of social exclusion, displacement and poverty.
The clinic is seeking experienced Lawyers to join our team on a 16 and 12 month contract bases.
We are looking for lawyers with several years of experience in one or more areas of law: immigration, housing, employment, or income maintenance. The successful candidate will represent clientsbefore various tribunals and courts, deliver public legal education sessions, and play an active role in community outreach, law reform, and community development initiatives.

Qualifications Include:
- At least 2 plus years of experience in providing legal advice and representation before administrative tribunals and courts;
- Member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario;
- Proven experience providing access to justice for people living with poverty is required;
- A self-starter who is able to manage multiple priorities in a high volume service delivery environment;
- Experience leading or contributing to a law reform or community development initiative;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; fluency in both English and French and/or other languages is highly desirable;
Pay: $87,391.00-$114,025.00 per year
