Job Summary:
Broadly defined, the IT Manager will lead and oversee the Information Technology department, ensuring the organization's technology infrastructure and systems are maintained, updated, and secure. This role involves strategic planning, managing IT projects, coordinating with other departments, and overseeing our systems to ensure there are no issues or privacy breaches.
Job Responsibilities:
Technical Support: Provide technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in person. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
System Maintenance: Install, configure, and maintain IT equipment such as computers, printers, and networking devices. Ensure systems are up to date and functioning properly.
Asset Management: Track and manage IT assets, including hardware and software inventory. Maintain records of equipment and software licenses.
User Training: Provide training and guidance to end-users on how to use IT systems and equipment effectively.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records and documentation of IT systems, processes, and troubleshooting procedures.
IT Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement IT strategies that align with the organization's goals and objectives. Plan, organize, control, and evaluate IT operations.
Project Management: Oversee IT projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closing. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. This includes coordinating and overseeing third party vendors.
Infrastructure Management: Maintain and manage the organization's IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, and systems. Ensure systems are reliable, secure, and efficient.
Security and Compliance: Monitor and maintain IT security measures to protect data and systems from cyber threats. Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Performing regular security tests and security monitoring.
Budgeting and Financial Management: Develop and manage the IT budget. Control costs while maintaining high levels of service and support.
Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to understand their needs and provide technology solutions. Communicate IT plans and updates effectively.
Problem Solving and Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues promptly. Provide guidance and support to the IT team and end-users.
Continuous Improvement: Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies. Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance IT services.
Travel: This position will be responsible for overseeing all locations currently under the Presteve umbrella, as well as any additional locations we acquire in the future. Currently we have 2 locations in Wheatley ON, 3 locations in Kingsville ON, 1 location in Batchawana Bay, and 1 location in Gimli MB.
After hours and Additional Duties: The above duties should be considered a summary and in no way an exhaustive list of responsibilities. Due to the nature of the role, the IT Manager may be required to take on additional duties related to IT. This could include but is not limited to after-hours emergency response or after-hours system maintenance.
Qualifications:
● Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
● Proven experience as an IT Manager or similar role.
● Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems, and security.
● Experience with IT project management and team leadership.
● Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
● Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
● Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
● Knowledge of budget management and cost control.
● Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations
Physical Abilities:

● Employee must be able to lift to 50lbs
