Office/Yard Assistant
Job Summary
Rosendale Farms is a family-run farming operation with three divisions: crop input retail side, grain elevator, and cash cropping. This role involves providing excellent customer service, managing clerical tasks, and assisting with yard-related activities. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, proficiency in office software, and the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This position offers an opportunity to gain valuable experience in office administration and yard operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform a combination of office work, yard work and scalehouse duties.
- Office Work:
- Answer phones and provide excellent customer service.
- Assist with buying and selling grain.
- Enter Bill of Ladings and generate end-user outturn reports.
- Generate invoices for grain sales.
- Assist with invoicing for Waterloo Crop Services, including fertilizer loads, chemicals, and seed orders.
- Front desk responsibilities, serving as the first point of contact with customers as they arrive.
- Help customers with crop input orders or grain-related questions.
- Assist with small orders from the warehouse by either providing the required products or coordinating with warehouse staff.
- Warehouse Work:
- When office work is slow, assist in the yard with inbound deliveries.
- Load trucks for outbound shipments.
- Help with general work in the yard as needed.
- Harvest Scalehouse Work:
- Help run the scalehouse during harvest.
- Grade grain and weigh in trucks.
- Tend to the dryer and probe trucks as needed.
- Operate equipment and vehicles as required (valid license may be needed).
- Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless operations across various departments.
- Maintain a high standard of safety and efficiency in all tasks.
Flexible Schedule
- Some Saturday work will be required.
- Peak season spring/harvest will have longer hours.
- Training days this winter to be up to speed for spring rush.
Pay
- Hourly rate

Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
