The project Exploring the Canadian Landscape of 2SLBTQIA+ Adult Homelessness: Access to Training, Resources, and Promising Practices is a partnership between Dr. Jayne Malenfant and the 519 in Toronto, which provides services to diverse 2SLGBTQIA+ communities. This work will involve supporting with a literature review and program scan of services for Two-Spirit, trans, non-binary and gender diverse individuals experiencing housing precarity and homelessness across Canada, as well as contribute to the creation of a pan-Canadian community of practice for housing service providers serving and led by Two-Spirit, trans, non-binary, gender-diverse and queer communities. The team is comprised of trans, non-binary, and queer researchers and service providers. There is a focus on training, workplace education, and activist knowledge exchange. Students will be trained and involved with data collection and knowledge mobilization, including co-authorship. Existing experience with community-based and participatory data collection and accessible knowledge mobilization is an asset.
Qualifications Required (skills and abilities, education, language skills):
Candidates should have experience undertaking a literature review, and feel comfortable scanning programs and services across Canada and Quebec. Familiarity and experience with 2SLGBTQIA+ issues is a requirement. Fluency in writing and speaking French is a strong asset. Students should have the ability to work on tasks independently when needed. Policy or community- engaged scholarship experience is an asset.

Priority will be given to those who have professional or lived experience knowledge of homelessness and housing issues, as well as individuals who belong to the impacted communities (Two-Spirit, trans, non-binary, gender-diverse or queer).
