Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Part Time Accountant to join our team. This role offers flexible hours and the opportunity to contribute to various financial functions within our organization. The ideal candidate will have experience with accounting software(quickbooks) and a strong understanding of bookkeeping, account reconciliation, and financial analysis. This position is perfect for someone looking to apply their accounting skills in a dynamic environment where knowlege of full cycle accounting is a must. Functions will include
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently using accounting software such as QuickBooks,
- Perform bank reconciliations and account analysis to ensure accuracy of financial data
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping records and prepare financial statements in compliance with company policies
- Invoicing to clients weekly
- biweekly payroll
- HST remttances
- Assist with budgeting, auditing, and financial reporting tasks to support organizational decision-making
- Process payroll and handle related transactions with precision
- Conduct account reconciliation activities regularly to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations
- Collaborate with team members to improve accounting procedures and ensure compliance with regulatory standardsRequirements
- Proven experience with accounting software including QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and account analysis
- Familiarity with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and budgeting processes
- Experience in corporate finance or financial services is preferred
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks efficiently
- Basic understanding of auditing procedures and compliance standards
- Prior experience in using accounting tools such as Sage or similar platforms is a plus
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team
Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
