Job Summary
The Gardens Event Centre is seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Sales Associate to join our team. This role involves engaging with guests, promoting our event services, and ensuring a memorable experience for all visitors. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment. As a Sales Associate, you will play a key role in representing the Gardens Event Centre and supporting our mission to host exceptional events.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide information about available event packages and services
- Assist clients in planning and booking events, ensuring their needs are met with professionalism and attention to detail
- Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments efficiently
- Provide guest services, including answering questions and resolving concerns promptly
- Support food service operations during events, including serving guests and maintaining cleanliness
- Engage with children during family or children's events, creating a welcoming atmosphere
- Promote upcoming events and special offers to increase bookings and attendance
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales area and event spaces as needed
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth event operations from start to finish
Requirements
- Prior experience in customer service, guest services, or food service is preferred but not required
- Strong communication skills, including public speaking abilities
- Experience working with children is a plus
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly
- Friendly, approachable demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings as needed for events
- Previous experience in hospitality or event sales is advantageous but not mandatory
- Professional appearance and positive attitude are essential for representing the Gardens Event Centre effectively
Pay: From $17.60 per hour
