A small store, real responsibility, and a trade you get paid to learn.
We're Mobile Klinik in Hillside Centre — a phone and tablet store with a
team of three.
WHAT THE JOB IS
Two halves.
The first is sales. Helping customers with new phones, plan upgrades and
activations, certified pre-owned phones, accessories and protection
plans. This is the main event and it's where your commission comes from.
The second is repair. We're an authorized repair centre, which means we
handle warranty work for Asurion, Samsung and Google that most shops
aren't permitted to touch. You'll be trained on the clock — screen
protectors and small parts first, then screen replacements, then full
phone repair.
You'll also do the unglamorous half of running a store: writing up
tickets, taking payments, counting the till, closing up, keeping the
place sharp.
WHO THIS IS FOR
You don't need repair experience or phone industry experience. We'll
teach both. What we can't teach:
- You're genuinely good with people, including the ones having a bad day
- You can work a quiet afternoon alone and find useful things to do
without anyone telling you to
- You're honest when something goes wrong, not just when it goes right
- You learn fast and ask instead of guessing
- You do what you said you'd do
If you've run a shift somewhere, closed a store, or been handed the keys
and the cash at a previous job, say so — that matters more to us than a
resume full of the right words.
WHERE IT GOES
We're four locations and growing. If you want to learn how a business actually
runs — pricing, inventory, staff, numbers — that's on the table here in a
way it isn't at a bigger company, because you'll be standing next to it
every day.
Your pay goes up as your skills do, and we'll tell you exactly what each
step requires.
THE HONEST VERSION
Entry-level pay to start, with commission on top. Evenings and weekends.
On your feet. And Victoria is our quieter store, which cuts both ways —
you get real time to learn, but you also need to be the kind of person
who doesn't need a busy room to stay motivated.
If you want a job where someone tells you what to do all day, this isn't
it.
PAY AND HOURS
$18.25 – $21.00 per hour to start, depending on experience, plus
commission on activations and protection plans. Raises tied to the
skills you pick up.
Full-time. Store hours are 10am–6pm Monday to Wednesday and Saturday,
10am–9pm Thursday and Friday, 11am–5pm Sunday. Evening and weekend
availability required.
