Description
Learning Development Coordinator supports both employees and management by handling administrative and coordination tasks for the Learning and Development department. This role ensures smooth operation of training programs, workshops, and employee development initiatives by organizing logistics, maintaining records, and facilitating communication between team members and stakeholders. The coordinator plays a key role in helping the department run efficiently, enabling the effective delivery of learning solutions and supporting the continuous growth and development of employees across the organization.
Qualifications
Education and Professional Certification
- Certificate or diploma in human resources, business administration, or a related field of study.
- Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation is an asset.
Experience
- Minimum one (1) year of experience working in an office environment. Preference would be given to those who have experience working in human resources.
- Experience working on computers with software packages including; Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Experience working with HR Information System (HRIS) and Learning Management System (LMS) would be an asset.
- Experience working with various databases.

Duties and Responsibilities
Services
- Learning Management System administrator.
- Coordinate Training Programs; organize and schedule training sessions, workshops, and other learning events. This includes logistics like booking venues, managing attendance, and preparing training materials.
- Develop Learning Content; assist in creating training materials, including manuals, presentations, e-learning modules, and job aids.
- First point of contact for external and internal training queries.
- Develop, maintain, and update Learning and Development documentation and correspondence such as; reports, letters, forms, spreadsheets, employee training manuals, and training materials. Complete all documentation clearly, accurately, and in a timely manner.
- Create and interpret standardized and ad hoc metric reports for multi-level usage.
- Enter and update employee training information in UKG and in other applicable databases.
- Track inventory of learning and development activities and resources
- Develop and maintain agency course schedule and training matrix. Be the primary conduit for all training scheduling for the agency.
- Communicate with and establish professional working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor and responsible for the HRTraining email inbox.
- Perform other Learning and Development related duties as assigned.
Leadership
- Role model agency values and HR best practices.
- Ensure training policies, procedures, and agency standards are being met.
Management of Resources
- Seek to improve processes and enhance services and efficiencies within the department and across the agency.
- Participate in the implementation of Learning and Development initiatives and ensure assigned projects are delivered within proposed timeframes and budgets.
- Maintain adequate training supplies and equipment.
- Maintain instructor inventory.
- Support the administration of course and facilitator surveys and distribute reports.
Safety
- Maintain, promote, and reinforce safe work habits, practices, and procedures.
- Adhere to written or verbal agency and government regulations, policies, practices, and instructions.
Additional Requirements
The incumbent is responsible for completing all mandatory training requirements for the position as per agency policy and guidelines.

Wage range for this position is $24.02 to $31.06 per hour.
