Artemis Gold is a well-financed, growth-oriented gold development company with a strong financial capacity aimed at creating shareholder value through the identification, acquisition, and development of gold properties in mining-friendly jurisdictions. Reporting to the Manager – Fixed Plant Maintenance & Infrastructure the Superintendent - Electrical is responsible for electrical, instrumentation, and power generation equipment availability and safety.
Location: Blackwater Mine Site
Schedule: 2 Weeks On - 2 Weeks Off Rotation
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate effective safety leadership by addressing and enforcing BW Golds safety standards, procedures, and safety systems.

Identify material risks and ensure adequate controls are implemented to safeguard the site from major safety and downtime events.

Ensure electrical, instrumentation and power generation equipment meet or exceeds site availability targets.

Develop and update high value and critical assets life cycle management plans.

Ensure maintenance is planned and executed in compliance with the asset management process.

Manage departmental budget and ensure costs are on target.

Foster and develop a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Ensure reliability process exists within the team and reliability systems are utilized by team as part of normal work routines.

Coach, mentor and develop team members.

Manage conflict resolution promptly, appropriately, and effectively.

Manage electrical resources including personnel, equipment, and materials to ensure efficient project execution.

Directing and supervising electrical crews, subcontractors and other workers to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
Qualifications:
- Red Seal Journeyperson Electrician required.

Minimum 7 years in a similar management role in large scale mining required.

Knowledgeable in CSA Standards M421, Z462, Z463 and the Canadian Electrical Code.

Experience in Operation and Maintenance practices for High Voltage distribution systems

Knowledgeable in Instrumentation and Process Control Systems

Working knowledge of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems)

Experience with mine start ups considered an asset.

May be required to maintain a clean-shaven appearance (i.e. no facial hair) to ensure the safe and effective use of required personal protective equipment (PPE) associated with assigned duties.

Ability to work at a remote location camp on a 2 weeks on/2 weeks off rotation.

Comfortable working and living in close quarters with the team.
