Spec Furniture is continuing to build our dynamic Manufacturing Team and is currently seeking a Paint Line Operator who is safety, quality, and teamwork focused. In this permanent, full-time position, you'll be operating, cleaning, and maintaining paint spray equipment and tools.
The Shift: Monday to Thursday from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Our 4-day, 40-hour work week means that you’re only commuting 4 times a week!

Spec’s products require attention to “Class A” surfaces, or the surfaces that our customers see and feel. Our Paint Line team members paint seating and table parts resulting in a consistent finish according to customer requirements, daily production schedule, and company quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Work to ensure safe and healthy working conditions and in compliance with health and safety policies.
- Paint parts accurately and effectively to produce consistent finish according to the schedule and company quality standards
- Clean and maintain spray equipment: guns, tank, filters and booth
- Operate equipment and store materials in accordance with the required safety standards
- Organise, tag and count materials, inventory, and supplies as needed
- Once trained, work with little outside direction; recognize and perform tasks that need to be completed although not directly assigned; assist others as needed and perform tasks as requested by management.
- Build and sustain collaborative and trusting relationships with all departments.
- Demonstrate consistent punctuality and follow Company policy with regards to absences
- Complete work assignments on schedule; accept overtime and flexible work schedules as required within department or company; participate in cross-training; help/substitute as necessary
Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Previous experience in a manufacturing is preferred.
- Able to communicate effectively with team members
- Able to work both within a team and independently to meet deadlines
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality
- Proven ability to learn
- This position requires the employee to work in manufacturing process areas and to deal regularly with schedule and deadline pressures.
- Must have the ability to stand for long periods of time and handle materials weighing at least 40 lbs.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $19.00-$25.00 per hour
