Responsibilities
- Conducts safety inspections of assigned shuttle bus at the beginning of each shift, recording any issues on the safety inspection report
- Picks guests up and drops off at hotel and airport ensuring the bus schedule is followed
- Drives in a safe manner and adheres to all applicable (traffic) laws at all times
- Ensures that all luggage (including fish boxes) are stored and labelled accurately
- Assists Bellperson in between trips, assists guests with their luggage, stores luggage for guests in the secured bell storage room
- Assists with guest questions and makes recommendations about the local area (dining, tourist attractions, etc.)
- Delivers items to guest rooms (i.e. flowers, letters, etc.)
- Takes ownership of guest complaints, finding creative ways to solve problems
- Performs other tasks assigned by management
Minimum Requirements
- Must have a Class 4 Unrestricted License (legal requirement) and a clean driving abstract
- Flexible availability to work: Graveyard/overnight, mid-day, evening, weekend, stat holidays, days, as needed
- Must be able to lift up to 30-50lb
- Good communication in written and spoken English
- Good guest relations skills
- Diploma/certificate in hospitality an asset
- Previous related 1 year experience a big asset
- Must be a team player
