Job Overview:
A Project Coordinator helps to support, facilitate, and organize projects that they have been assigned. They will work closely with their Project Manager, Operations, and Foreman to ensure jobs are completed on time, within budget and with safety always at the forefront.
Reporting Structure
Reporting to the VP, Construction and Project Manager
Responsibilities:
§ Track and compare daily production vs. estimated production (input into tracker).
§ Track and compare daily production against project schedule.
§ Support the team in billing activities, understanding line items and quantities.
§ Initiate and follow up on locate requests.
§ Coordinate and conduct site reviews, including taking notes and photos as needed.
§ Conduct safety site inspections.
§ Issue Request for Quotes (RFC)
§ Coordinate with steel suppliers to obtain certifications, samples, or any additional documentation required for submission.
§ Coordinate with external and internal parties to confirm yard bound storage.
§ Obtain pad certification and provide clients with example pad cert from resource folder.
§ Support PM with submission of RFI’s, RFC’s, NCR’s.
§ Input values for cost tracking tools.
§ Creating PO’s on Jonas, as approved and directed by the Project Manager.
§ Sort and review timesheets submitted by Foreman. Highlight and escalate discrepancies.
§ Produce handover packages for Foreman, and coordinate handover meeting with Management and Operations Team.
§ Receive, review, digitize and file DWR’s submitted daily by Foreman.
§ Email coordination with client, when directed by the PM.
§ Recording meeting minutes, when directed by the PM.
§ Other duties as required.
Qualifications
§ Post-Secondary Diploma or Certificate in Civil Engineering/Geotechnical Engineering or proven relatedfield experience.
§ 1-2 years of construction experience, previous work as a coordinator is an asset
§ Organized and results oriented with a sense of urgency
§ Strong communication skills and effective problem-solving skills
§ Demonstrated time management, scheduling, and negotiations skills
§ Proficient with MS Office applications such as Excel, Word, Outlook, Project etc.
§ Must have a clean driving record and a valid G licence
§ Able to multi-task and sustain productivity over long hours in a fast-paced environment
Pay: From $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 42.5 per week
