Maintenance Technician – Residential Apartment Buildings
Location: Edmonton, Alberta
Position: Full-Time Maintenance Technician
We are looking for an experienced and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our property maintenance team in Edmonton.
The successful candidate will be responsible for general maintenance, repairs, replacements, and installations in residential apartment buildings and individual suites. We are looking for a hands-on individual who can identify problems, find practical solutions, and complete repairs efficiently and professionally.
Main Responsibilities
- Perform general repairs and maintenance in apartment units and common areas
- Troubleshoot and repair plumbing issues, including faucets, sinks, toilets, drains, and minor leaks
- Replace and install bathtubs, tub surrounds, vanities, sinks, faucets, and other bathroom fixtures
- Perform minor plumbing repairs and drain/snaking work
- Install and repair kitchen cabinets, countertops, doors, locks, hardware, and fixtures
- Perform drywall repairs, patching, caulking, and finishing
- Complete minor carpentry and renovation work
- Replace damaged flooring, tiles, baseboards, and trim when required
- Diagnose maintenance problems and determine the appropriate repair
- Respond to urgent maintenance issues when required
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized condition
Qualifications
- Previous experience in apartment/building maintenance, renovations, construction, or a similar trade
- Strong general repair and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with plumbing, bathroom repairs, bathtub/tub surround installation, drywall, carpentry, and general renovations is a strong asset
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple maintenance tasks
- Reliable, responsible, and able to complete jobs within reasonable timelines
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Valid Alberta driver’s licence preferred
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
