Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and licensed Red Seal Journeyman/woman Electrician to join our team. This role involves installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems across various industrial and construction projects. The ideal candidate will possess extensive electrical experience, including blueprint reading and working with schematics, and will be capable of handling complex electrical tasks in renovation, industrial, and low-voltage environments. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects that require precision, technical expertise, and adherence to safety standards.
Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems in industrial and commercial settings using power tools and hand tools.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to ensure accurate installation and troubleshooting of electrical components.
- Work with low-voltage systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and other automation equipment.
- Conduct inspections of electrical systems to identify issues and perform necessary repairs or upgrades.
- Assist with renovation projects by updating or replacing existing electrical infrastructure.
- Ensure all work complies with local electrical codes, safety standards, and company policies.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other tradespeople to complete projects efficiently and safely.
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed for compliance and future reference.
Requirements
- Valid Red Seal Journeyman/woman Electrician certification.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Proven experience in industrial electrician work, construction, or renovation projects.
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and electrical diagrams.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment used in electrical installations.
- Experience working with low-voltage systems and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Ability to interpret technical documents related to schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Handyman experience is considered an asset for versatile troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in complex electrical environments.
- Current First Aide Training, preferred.
- Current Lift Training, preferred.
- Fall Arrest Training, preferred.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced settings while maintaining safety standards. Pay: $44.61 per hour
