Material Handler
The Material Handler is responsible for preparing and moving materials to ensure customer orders are completed accurately and on time. This role is essential to maintaining productivity, quality, and teamwork within the Rolark Stainless Steel operation.
What will YOU be doing as a Material Handler?
● Read work orders and specifications to accurately pull, assemble, and prepare materials for production and delivery
● Inspect cut pieces and finished materials for quality, ensuring orders meet company and customer standards
● Package, secure, and stage orders for shipment, including building skids, boxing, strapping, and wrapping materials
● Load and unload delivery trucks and transport materials safely to designated loading and storage areas
● Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, overhead cranes, and lift trucks to move inventory efficiently
● Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment while assisting shipping, receiving, and other departments as needed
- night shift position: 10:30 pm to 7:00 am (Sunday – Thursday)
What YOU bring to the table
● Minimum 6 months of Forklift/overhead crane experience handling heavy materials
● Mechanical aptitude with basic machine maintenance skills; open to cross-training on shop equipment
● Strong communication skills and a positive, team-first “can-do” attitude
● Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail and quality
● Physically capable of demanding work, including lifting 50+ lbs and standing for extended periods
Salary information: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour (Salary is dependent on experience)
