Community Impact Coordinator
Full-Time (37.5hrs/week) 12 month Contract - possibility of extension or FT | Stratford, Ontario
About the Role
The Community Impact Coordinator supports the Foundation’s grants program and communications activities, helping ensure applicants, community organizations, and fundholders have a positive and responsive experience with the Foundation.
The primary focus of this role is coordinating the Foundation’s granting processes and supporting communications through newsletters, social media, and visual content creation.
This role is ideal for someone early in their nonprofit or communications career who is organized, community-minded, and excited to grow their skills in grants administration, communications, and nonprofit operations within a supportive team environment.
You will work closely with the Executive Director and support the work of the Grants Committee while helping maintain clear, consistent, and engaging communications with the community.
Key Responsibilities
Grants Program Coordination
- Coordinate administrative aspects of the Foundation’s grant cycles, including application intake, tracking, scheduling, and applicant communication
- Prepare materials and provide logistical support for Grants Committee meetings and review processes
- Maintain accurate grant records and CRM data throughout the granting cycle
- Respond to applicant inquiries in a timely, respectful, and helpful manner
- Support ongoing improvements to grant administration processes and applicant experience
Communications Support
- Design and distribute e-newsletters using Mailchimp or a similar platform
- Create and schedule social media content across Foundation channels
- Develop graphics and visual materials using Canva or similar tools
- Help maintain consistent Foundation branding and communication standards
- Support communications related to grants, events, donor recognition, and community initiatives
Community Engagement
- Support outreach and relationship-building with local charitable organizations and community partners
- Attend community events and meetings as a Foundation representative when appropriate
- Help share grant opportunities and Foundation initiatives throughout the community
- Respond to general inquiries and connect organizations with appropriate information or next steps
Administration & Organizational Support
- Maintain accurate CRM and contact records
- Assist with scheduling, meeting logistics, and preparation of materials
- Provide administrative support to the Executive Director as needed
- Support general office coordination and organizational projects
Qualifications
Required
- Post-secondary education in communications, nonprofit management, public administration, or a related field — or equivalent experience
- 1–3 years of experience in an administrative, nonprofit, communications, or coordination role
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with Canva, Mailchimp, or similar communication and design platforms
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfort working with databases, spreadsheets, and CRM systems
- A genuine interest in community work and the charitable sector
Assets
- Experience supporting grant programs or nonprofit initiatives
- Familiarity with the Stratford and Perth County community and nonprofit sector
- Experience with WordPress or website updates
- Valid Ontario G license and access to a vehicle for occasional local travel
Working Conditions
- Full-time position based in Stratford, Ontario
- Occasional evening or weekend attendance at community events may be required

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $50,000–$65,000, commensurate with experience
- Paid vacation and professional development support
