Little Mountain Learning Academy is looking for a passionate and skilled English educator with experience in designing and delivering high-quality lessons for elementary up to high school aged learners. You will teach the same students every week, enabling you to build great relationships with your learners. Little Mountain offers additional professional growth opportunities for our educators to become curriculum developers, program leads, teacher trainers and administrators. The skills and qualifications we are looking for include:
- Experience working with elementary, middle and high school aged students in a small group setting,
- The ability to design, create, select and utilize the very best English resources to support your learners,
- Strong classroom management to encourage a positive learning environment,
- A passion for cultivating a love for learning.
- Confidence in communicating with parents,
- The ability to assess students in a meaningful way to support their progress,
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, the ability to collaborate, exceptional organizational skills, a high level of professionalism, flexibility and a sense of humour!
Hours: School year schedule:
Weekdays 3:00pm - 8:30pm
Tuesday - Saturday with Saturday hours 9:00am - 4:00pm.
Additional curriculum development hours may be provided for experienced candidates.
Summer hours are during the daytime.
Compensation: $20/hr - $30 hour based on qualifications and experience, extended medical and dental benefits after 6 months, and paid professional development.
Employment Type: Part Time (10 - 15 hours per week) or Full Time (20 - 25 hours per week)
