We are actively recruiting for a highly motivated full-time electrical apprentice to learn while assisting Journeymen Electricians on Automation and Electrical Projects:
Responsibilities:
Willing to take direction from job foreman to increase knowledge and satisfy apprenticeship training including:
- Reading and interpreting drawing
- Testing and fabricating electrical panels and electrical equipment
- Installing of electrical equipment
Maintain a safe work environment (shop, trucks field) to comply with company and OH&S safety policies
Ensure familiarity and good working order of hand and power tools and equipment
Obtain and organize job materials, maintain accurate records of work performed and hours worked
Work out of town, usually within a hour of Lethbridge base (overnight stays rarely required)
Any other assigned duties as deemed suitable
Requirements:
High School Diploma
Maintain a constant focus and dedication to safety, quality and customer service/support
Initiative; possess problem solving abilities
Able to work in a team environment and display willingness to learn and seek guidance
Comfortable working indoors or outdoors including wind, rain and cold
Physically fit, capable of standing for long hours and lifting 100 pounds, bending, kneeling, working from heights on equipment and navigating uneven surfaces and disturbances on construction sites
Reliable and dependable, good attendance, punctual and good work ethic
Registered or ability to register with Apprenticeship and Industry Training (My Tradesecrets) 2nd year
Valid Class 5 Driver's License with clean drivers abstract
Current First Aid Certification
