Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable MTO Certified Driving Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for educating new drivers on safe driving practices, traffic laws, and vehicle operation. This role requires excellent communication skills and a passion for teaching, as you will be guiding students through both classroom instruction and practical driving lessons.
Duties
- Conduct in car sessions to educate students on traffic laws, road signs, and safe driving techniques.
- Provide one-on-one driving instruction to students in a variety of settings, including residential areas and highways.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to help them improve their driving skills.
- Develop lesson plans that cater to the diverse learning needs of students.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and performance.
- Ensure the safety of students during lessons by following all traffic regulations and safety protocols.
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student engagement and confidence.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in teaching or tutoring, with strong communication skills.
- Ability to effectively educate students in both classroom settings and practical driving scenarios.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- A valid Drivers Instructor license issued by the Ministry of Transportation.
- Previous experience as a driving instructor
- Dual Brake on vehicle
- Commercial Insurance with $2 million liability
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Patience and the ability to motivate students of varying skill levels.
