Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented, experienced Orthodontic Hygienist to join our orthodontic practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, perform orthodontic procedures, and support the overall efficiency of our dental team.

The Orthodontic Hygienist will play a vital role in maintaining patient oral health, educating patients on orthodontic care, and ensuring a positive experience for everyone who walks through our doors.
Responsibilities
- Must be able to perform orthodontic braces bonding and debonding, wire changes, adjustment, and appliances like RPE banding and debonding.
- Perform dental cleanings and periodontal checks for orthodontic patients.
- Assist in the placement, adjustment, and removal of orthodontic appliances.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices specific to orthodontic treatment.
- Take panorex, lateral ceph, and dental radiographs as needed, ensuring patient safety and comfort.

- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using orthodontic dental management software.
- Collaborate with the dental team as a team worker and professional
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient questions and concerns professionally.
- Support pediatric patients by creating a welcoming environment and explaining procedures in an age-appropriate manner.
- Stay current with advancements in orthodontics, hygienist techniques, and medical terminology relevant to the role.
Requirements
- Valid Dental Hygienist license with current certification.
- Experience with orthodontic or similar dental practice management software is preferred.
- Knowledge of orthodontics procedures, appliances, and treatment protocols.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to effectively communicate with a diverse patient base.
- Previous dental assisting experience, especially in pediatric dentistry or orthodontics, is highly desirable.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to create a positive patient experience.
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to dentistry and orthodontics.
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Pay: $45.00-$60.00 per hour
