Schedule: Monday – Friday, 12:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m
Job description:
The Shipper/ Driver is responsible for supporting shipping, logistics coordination, and local product deliveries. This role ensures the efficient movement of materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods throughout the facility and to customer locations while maintaining product quality and company standards.
The successful candidate will serve as a key liaison between Production, Project Management, Shipping, and Logistics teams while assisting with material preparation, inventory tracking, quality inspections, and local deliveries using the company vehicle.
Shipping & Delivery
- Deliver and pick up materials and finished products using the company 18 foot straight truck within approximately Greater Toronto Area
- Verify delivery schedules with logistics coordinators and shipment readiness prior to transportation
- Coordinate material movement throughout the facility to support production and shipping requirements.
- Label, tag, organize, and prepare materials for interdepartmental movement and shipment
- Assist in preparing shipments and ensuring products are packaged and loaded safely
- Operate pump trucks and other approved material handling equipment.
- Load, unload, transport, and store materials safely and efficiently.
- Prepare materials for offloading and production requirements.
- Support production teams as needed to ensure workflow continuity.
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and products up to 50 lbs.
- Ensure products are shipment-ready and packaged to prevent damage during transportation.
- Provide feedback to logistics or shipping coordinator regarding recurring quality concerns and opportunities for improvement.
Qualifications
- Completion of secondary school.
- Valid Ontario G Class Driver's Licence (required).
- Clean driving record.
- Experience driving commercial vehicles or straight trucks is a strong asset.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, logistics, manufacturing, or production environments is preferred.
- Experience handling raw materials within a manufacturing facility is considered an asset.

Experience:
- Shipper/Driver: 3-5 years (preferred)
Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
