Overview
We are seeking a friendly, motivated Retail Sales Associate to join our team. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, assisting shoppers with product selection, and maintaining an organized and inviting store environment. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a passion for retail sales, and familiarity with merchandising and cash handling. Multilingual abilities and experience in landscape maintenance or gardening are a plus, helping to enhance our diverse customer interactions and store presentation. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with product inquiries and selections
- Operate POS systems efficiently for sales transactions, returns, and exchanges
- Handle cash handling responsibilities accurately and securely
- Maintain attractive merchandise displays through effective merchandising techniques
- Support inventory management, including stock replenishment and organization
- Provide knowledgeable assistance on gardening, horticulture, or landscape maintenance products when applicable
- Engage with customers to promote products, including e-commerce options when available
- Ensure the store remains clean, organized, and welcoming at all times
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth daily operations
- Assist in maintaining a positive shopping experience by addressing customer needs promptly
Qualifications
- Prior experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service preferred
- Strong communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are advantageous
- Knowledge of POS systems and cash handling procedures
- Organizational skills to manage stock and maintain store presentation
- Familiarity with merchandising principles and retail best practices
- Experience or interest in gardening, horticulture, or landscape maintenance is a plus
- Ability to work well in a team environment and provide excellent customer service
- Basic e-commerce knowledge is beneficial but not required
- Demonstrated ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced retail setting
Pay: $17.20-$27.99 per hour
