Mail Service, Vancouver General Hospital, LM Labs, $20.97 per hour
What you’ll do
Collect and deliver mail such as interdepartmental communications, non-sensitive laboratory specimens and reports, patient charts, pharmacy supplies, regular O.R. Slate, Day Care Slate and other items by performing duties such as loading mail cart with mail and delivering to appropriate areas of the hospital according to established schedules.
Sort interdepartmental/external mail within the Mail Room as assigned; receives courier packages by signing receiving document and processing according to established procedures.
Operate the pneumatic tube system by performing duties such as placing appropriate mail in tube, adjusting code on tube to indicate correct destination, opening received tubes and sorting mail by hospital area.
Perform other related duties as required.
What you bring:
Grade 12 or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
You have the ability to:
Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Deal with others effectively.
Physically perform the duties of the job.
O perate related equipment.
Wage: $20.97 per hour
