Overview

Duties
- Provide attentive care to animals, including feeding, watering, and monitoring their health and behavior
- Maintain clean and sanitary animal enclosures.
- Assist with cleaning all areas within the hospital kennels and treatment rooms to uphold high standards of hygiene
- Support the administration of basic animal treatments under supervision, utilizing laboratory experience when applicable
- Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are properly stored and maintained for safety and efficiency
- Follow established protocols for handling animals safely and humanely, minimizing stress and injury
- Document daily activities, animal conditions, and housekeeping tasks accurately in logs or reports
Requirements
- Passionate about animal welfare with a caring attitude.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail to ensure cleanliness standards are consistently met
- Laboratory experience is a plus, especially related to handling samples or maintaining cleanliness in lab-like environments
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively with team members and report observations clearly
- Ability to follow safety procedures diligently when handling animals or cleaning chemicals
- Prior experience in animal care or housekeeping is preferred but not required; training will be provided

Pay: $18.00-$23.00 per hour
