Duties
- Prepare and cut meats and seafood with precision using knife skills and meat cutting techniques to ensure quality and consistency
- Package products efficiently while maintaining food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Assist customers by providing knowledgeable service, answering questions about meat and seafood options, and offering culinary suggestions
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the meat and seafood preparation areas in accordance with food safety regulations
- Restock displays and ensure proper labeling of all products for easy customer access
- Adhere to all food safety protocols, including proper storage, sanitation practices, and handling procedures to prevent contamination
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food production or preparation within the food industry or restaurant environment is highly preferred
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse customers
- Kitchen or culinary experience that demonstrates familiarity with food preparation processes
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Prior experience in a retail or grocery store specializing in meats or seafood is a plus
