Position Overview
Crown Security Solutions is currently seeking a professional, reliable, and motivated individual to join our team as a Part-Time Overnight Vehicle Patrol Security Guard. This position involves conducting mobile patrols of various client properties, responding to alarms and security incidents, and ensuring the safety and security of our clients’ premises.
Successful candidates must be capable of working independently, exercising sound judgment, and maintaining a professional presence while representing the company.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct routine patrols of assigned properties using company vehicles.
- Ensure buildings, gates, doors, and other access points are properly secured.
- Identify and remove unauthorized persons from client properties in accordance with applicable legislation.
- Respond to alarms, security breaches, and emergency situations.
- Investigate incidents and take appropriate action to resolve situations.
- Escalate incidents to police, fire, or emergency services when required.
- Complete accurate patrol logs, incident reports, and vehicle inspection/maintenance logs.
- Maintain communication with management throughout shifts.
- Enforce property rules and regulations.
- Utilize verbal de-escalation techniques to peacefully resolve conflicts whenever possible.
- Exercise arrest authorities and use only the appropriate level of force when legally justified and required.
- Provide professional customer service and maintain a positive public image.
Qualifications
Required
- Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence.
- Valid Standard First Aid and CPR certification.
- Valid Ontario Class G Driver’s Licence.
- Clean driver’s abstract with a minimum of five years of safe driving history.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
- Ability to work overnight shifts in all weather conditions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to effectively de-escalate confrontational situations.
- Minimum 25 years of age
Preferred
- Previous vehicle patrol or mobile security experience.
- In-depth knowledge of the Trespass to Property Act.
- Knowledge of security protocols, emergency response procedures, and report writing.
- Experience responding to alarms and security incidents.
- Use of Force and Handcuffing certification considered an asset.
