Overview
We are seeking dedicated Skilled Labourers and lead hands, for are variety of projects around the greater Victoria area. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic with a commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency. A general knowledge of building practices a must. As a member of our growing team, you will play a crucial role in the various projects we have on the go. We are looking currently looking to fill lead hand roles.
Duties
- Perform a variety of tasks including concrete restoration, door installation, rough carpentry, deck rehabilitation, demolition & maintenance work.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and material lifts safely and effectively.
- Assist in the preparation of job site tasks along with maintaining the site and scaffolding.
- Follow instructions from supervisors to complete projects on time.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality workmanship.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and training.
Qualifications
- Previous restoration work with experience in masonry, rough carpentry, stucco repair, and demolition work.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings is a plus.
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50 pounds).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team setting.
- Familiarity with safety procedures in construction environments is desirable, but will train.
- We are willing to train individuals with good work ethic and attitude. Valid driver’s license is appreciated, but not necessary.
