About the role:
- Classify/test various hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals to determine chemical compatibility
- Pack/Unpack/sort labpacks
- Bulk organic and inorganic materials for shipment
- Conduct inventory counts, label and prepare containers for shipment
- Comply with company policies and procedures and health & safety procedures
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Education in chemistry or related field, or strong chemical background through related work experience
- Previous experience working in an industrial setting preferred
- Previous forklift experience an asset
- Reasonable physical exertion is required, such as climbing in and out of trucks and pushing loaded pallet trucks short distances. However, we forbid any type of physical activity that could be deemed as risky or dangerous
