Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and order within our facilities. This position requires a strong attention to detail and a commitment to ensuring a safe and clean environment for all employees and visitors.
Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting of all areas within the facility.
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, break rooms, and common areas, ensuring they are stocked with necessary supplies.
- Conduct regular inspections of the premises to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed, including minor repairs and upkeep of equipment.
- Dispose of waste properly and ensure recycling practices are followed.
- Report any issues or concerns regarding facility maintenance to the appropriate personnel.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while performing cleaning duties.
Requirements
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or custodial work is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of facilities maintenance practices is a plus.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for extended periods, and climbing ladders when necessary.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
