Job Summary
LK Psychotherapy & Clinical Services is expanding and is seeking a skilled, values-aligned Independent Contractor Therapist to join our growing practice.
Our clinic is grounded in trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, and relational approaches to therapy. We work with individuals, couples and families, with a strong commitment to equity, cultural humility, and social justice. We provide group counselling, workshops, trainings, consulting and other community engagements.
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Clinical Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide mental health services, support patient care, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote well-being. This role involves working with diverse patient populations, including youth and families and requires a strong understanding of trauma and its clinical treatments. The Clinical Therapist will play a vital role in delivering evidence-based interventions and supporting patients through their treatment journeys.

We value clinicians who are comfortable working as part of a team environment and participating in peer consultation, meetings, and ongoing professional development.
Duties
- Conduct individual, family, and group therapy sessions tailored to patient needs.
- Collect and analyze data related to patient progress and treatment outcomes.
- Assist in research initiatives aimed at improving clinical practices and patient care strategies.
- Maintain detailed documentation of therapy sessions, assessments, and treatment plans in compliance with confidentiality standards.
- Educate families and caregivers about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.
- Is ideally bilingual, with priority given to therapists who offer services in French, Spanish, and/or Tagalog. (If you are not, still apply!)
- Is able to work independently while contributing to a collaborative, respectful team culture.
- Is available to offer in-person sessions in Belleville and virtual therapy.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children, pediatrics, or in hospital settings is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of research methodologies related to mental health and patient care.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, case management processes, and data collection techniques.
- Experience providing patient care within clinical or hospital environments.
- Background in special education or working with patients requiring tailored therapeutic approaches is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse populations.
- Relevant licensure or certification as a licensed clinical therapist or counselor is required.
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient support.
Qualifications
- Doctoral or Master’s degree in Psychology, Counselling, Social Work, or related field
- Registration in good standing with the CPO, CRPO, OCSWSSW, or other relevant regulatory College
- Interest in providing in-person services in Belleville
Compensation & Role Details:
- Independent contractor position.
- 60/40 fee split ($60-135/hr)
- Flexible scheduling with the ability to build a caseload at your own pace.
- Part-time to start (minimum 5 hours/week), with the potential to grow to full-time depending on availability and client demand.
