Our client, a leading electricity distribution company, is seeking a Project Manager to support its Design and Construction team.
Location: Ajax, ON – Hybrid, 4 days in the office and one day remote
Job Type: Contract, with a possible one-year extension

SCOPE OF SOLUTION AND PROPOSAL REQUIREMENTS
Project/Program Management Support-
- Hold meetings with project stakeholders to develop cost/scope/schedule
- Develop Project Status Update (PSU) summaries and presentations for stakeholders, members of the Sr. Management, and/or the Executive team
- Develop Risk Registerfor projects and develop mitigating actions
- Develop Gantt charts
- Perform analysis on cost/scope/schedule variances to determine root cause
- Review and provide recommendation on approving/rejecting Project Change Requests
- Issue Action Log and follow up on statuses of action items
- Provide project leadership to ensure on-time, and on-budget delivery of the assigned
- projects/programs
- Work with both internal and external project stakeholders to understand and address conflicts
- Perform site visits, as required, while adhering to Elexicon’s safety protocols
- Follow up on the status of action items and work with stakeholders to address all open / outstanding action items
- Follow up with various stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of the project / program
SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
- Extensive understanding and demonstrated application of Project/Program Management concepts and principles.
- Experience in managing Design-Build projects in the Electrical Utility industry will be considered an asset
- Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Suite including MS Project, Access, Excel and Visio
- Knowledge in developing process maps and process optimization.
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Project Management Professional certification (PMP) preferred
- Post secondary degree in Engineering, business or related field
- MBA is an asset
- Must have 5+ years or more of project/program management experience. Experience in the utility industry is an asset.
Pay: $80.00-$100.00 per hour
