Pilates Instructor – Reformer & Mat
Part-Time | Independent Contractor

About the Role
We are a professional Pilates studio seeking certified Pilates Instructors to join our team. We are looking for instructors who are technically strong, confident in cueing, and committed to safe, effective movement for clients of all levels.
This role is ideal for instructors who value precision, proper alignment, and thoughtful programming, and who take pride in delivering high-quality instruction in a professional studio environment.
Responsibilities
- Teach safe, well-structured group Reformer and/or Mat Pilates classes
- Program classes for mixed-level clients with appropriate progressions and regressions
- Demonstrate correct technique and alignment to ensure client safety
- Provide clear verbal cueing, technical corrections, and appropriate modifications
- Educate clients on Pilates principles including breath, control, stability, and mobility
- Maintain a professional, respectful, and supportive class environment
- Deliver consistent, high-quality instruction
- Arrive prepared and on time for all scheduled classes
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe studio space
- Stay current with Pilates methodology through continued education
Skills & Qualifications
- Certified Pilates Instructor (Reformer and/or Mat)
- Strong understanding of anatomy, alignment, and movement mechanics
- Experience teaching group Pilates classes preferred
- Confident, precise cueing and class management
- Professional communication and client interaction skills
- Punctual, reliable, and organized
- STOTT Pilates certification is an asset but not required
Requirements
- Pilates certification (Reformer and/or Mat)
- Minimum 1 year teaching experience preferred
- Valid CPR and First Aid certification (current prior to start date)
- Proficiency in English (additional languages are an asset)
Compensation
- Reformer classes: $35–$50 per class, based on experience
- Mat / HIIT / Barre classes: $25–$35 per class
- Bonus opportunities may be available based on attendance or studio incentives
- Additional teaching opportunities may be available as the schedule grows
