Position Overview
We're looking for an Associate Lawyer with 3–5 years of experience in Real Estate Law and/or Corporate/Commercial Law to join our growing team. This is an opportunity for a motivated lawyer to manage a meaningful caseload, work directly with clients and referral partners, and grow within a firm where partners are accessible and invested in your development. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing real estate transactions and providing strategic advice on a variety of corporate and commercial matters.
What You’ll Do
- Manage and close residential and commercial real estate transactions, including purchases, sales, financings, and leases.
- Manage and close commercial transactions, including asset and share purchases/sales.
- Draft, revise, and negotiate agreements of purchase and sale, asset/share purchase agreements, and related closing documents.
- Conduct due diligence, including title and off-title searches.
- Maintain strong client relationships through clear and reliable communication.
- Work collaboratively with lawyers, clerks, and other team members while demonstrating initiative, sound judgment, and strong attention to detail.
What We’re Looking For
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
- 3–5 years of experience in real estate and corporate/commercial law at a law firm – applicants with less than 3 years experience will not be considered.
- Strong drafting, analytical, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage files independently and efficiently.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
