Journeyman Rate $38/hour
Must hold a valid Electrical License or Apprenticeship in the Province Of New Brunswick, or equivalent from other Canadian Province.
Responsibilities:
- Reads, interprets, and executes drawings, schematics, blueprints, and electrical code specifications to perform layout of commercial and residential electrical equipment installations.
- Tests electrical equipment and parts for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance.
- Installs repairs, or replaces electrical wiring, devices, conduits, feeders, lighting, and alternative electrical parts.
- Installs, repairs, or replaces generators.
- Performs maintenance and testing of electrical systems (including power distribution equipment).
- Installs electrical circuits, as well as panels, conduit, protective devices, switches, and equipment in compliance with the Canadian Electrical Code.
- Trouble shoots electrical problems to find and repair incorrect or unsafe wiring and equipment.
- Abides by industry standards and company policy while working to contribute to a safe work environment.
Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a Journeyman
- Willingness to follow safety guidelines
- Steel toed safety boots (CSA approved)
- Current/valid driver’s licence
- Clean Driver's Abstract and Criminal Clearance
- Work as part of a team
- Be able to stand, bend or crouch for long periods of time
