Description:
The Division of Neurology, Department of Medicine, University Health Network/Sinai Health System (UHN/SHS) and the Temerty Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto is seeking a full-time, permanent Academic Neurologist with a focus on movement disorders. The candidate must be eligible for a full-time clinical academic appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor or higher with a preference of the position description of Clinician Investigator at the University of Toronto.
The effective start date is at a mutually agreed upon date after January 1, 2027. Academic appointment will be within the Division of Neurology, Department of Medicine, University of Toronto and teaching will be as per Division of Neurology requirements. Research and clinical focus will be on movement disorders and clinical service will be in the Division of Neurology, Krembil Brain Institute for on-call, inpatient and ambulatory care.
The successful candidate will hold a MD degree or equivalent and should have, or be eligible for, certification in Neurology by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO). To be considered for the Clinician Investigator position, specific additional training such as a Master’s degree or equivalent is required and scholarly excellence as demonstrated by the presence of research grants, publications in leading journals, invited presentations at significant conferences, awards, accolades, and other related accomplishments.
Salary will be commensurate with training and experience and in the range of $290,000-295,000 CAD per year dependent on clinical work.
