Working in childcare means we work in licensed ratios. Simply put, if we don't have enough staff, we can't operate. That's why we're looking for someone who understands the importance of being dependable and showing up for their team, the children, and their families.

What you'll do:
- Provide quality care and education for children.
- Plan and lead a variety of engaging activities.
- Participate in field trips, community walks, and outdoor play.
- Complete general housekeeping duties within the classroom.
- Safely supervise and manage a small group of children independently when required.
This position is active and requires someone who enjoys being on the move throughout the day.
Schedule
Our centre is open 7:15 a.m. – 5:15 p.m.
- Regular full-time schedule of approximately 9.5-hour shifts, 4 days per week (37.5 hours/week).
- You will have one assigned weekday off each week.
- Flexibility is required, as program needs may require 8-hour shifts over 5 days per week.
Qualifications
- Experience working in a licensed childcare centre is required.
- Valid ChildSafe First Aid certification.
- Valid Criminal Record Check.
- Strong English communication skills.
- Full ECE required. ECEA will be considered if working on full ECE certificate.
- Infant & Toddler Certification is considered an asset.
- A valid Northern Health Licence to Practice is required before employment. Unfortunately, we cannot hire applicants without this certification.
Compensation
- $26.00/hour
- ECEWE available for fully qualified ECEs
- Benefits, 4% vacation pay, and paid sick days available following the probationary period.
