Equipment Operator
K-Rite Construction is currently looking for a dedicated Equipment Operator to join our team. As an Equipment Operator, you will play a crucial role in operating a range of heavy equipment and machinery to support our projects effectively.
Job Summary:
The Equipment Operator will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of various equipment including skid steers, excavators, loaders, and bulldozers. This role involves tasks such as grading, excavating, and backfilling to contribute to project success.
Duties:
- Perform tasks such as grading, excavating and backfilling
- Ensure all operations are conducted safely and efficiently
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance on equipment
- Follow project plans and instructions accurately
Skills:
- Proficiency in skidsteer operation for leveling surfaces
- Experience in loader operation for material handling
- Mechanical knowledge for equipment maintenance
- Commercial driving experience for transporting equipment
- Familiarity with bulldozers for earthmoving tasks
- Abilitity to operate machinery efficiently
- Strong skills in heavy equipment operation for various construction activities
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years prior experience skid steer and excavator
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Experiance with grades and drawings
- Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record
