JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a BC certified teacher to teach Kindergarten for the 2026-2027 school year from September 2026 to June 2027, with the potential to continue the following year and beyond. Initial employment will be to cover for a maternity leave.
Please include Teacher Regulation Branch status in a cover letter. We are only considering BC-certified teachers and those living locally or are willing to relocate from outside Canadia with valid work permits. Candidates with experience preferred.
As we are a school within the Catholic School system, we are seeking preferably someone with a similar faith background, as teaching religion is part of the position. Practicing Catholics with connections to their parish are prioritized.
The successful candidate must be committed to students’ faith development, have experience in creating engaging lessons for his/her students, have strong leadership skills, enjoy working as part of a team, and be willing to contribute to extra-curricular programs in the school. Strong classroom management and organizational skills a must, as well as the ability to build rapport with students.
